Disability Services offers accommodations coordination, evaluation referral, disability-related information, assistive technology services, sign language interpreting and transcription services for academically related purposes.

Dual Credit

Get a head start on attaining your college degree and get high school credit in the process. The Dual Credit program allows eligible high schools students to earn college credit for certain high school courses.

Ready to move on to a four year university? We can provide guidance. Counselors are not only knowledgeable about the requirements needed to transfer to a university, but have compiled resources and checklists to keep you on track every step of the way.

Veteran Services offers personalized support to veterans and dependents by identifying, developing, and delivering uniquely tailored resources and programs. Our counselor is able to provide the tools to help student veterans succeed.

Testing Services

Testing Services

The Assessment Center coordinates, proctors, and assesses a variety of exams related to admission, placement, credit attainment, and licensing. Along with providing a comfortable and safe testing environment, we also provide resources to in order to study for exams.

Students must register and pay any required fees before testing. To register for an exam or to learn more about the Assessment Center, visit the information desk located in the main lobby of BC Central or call 979-230-3040.

TSIA2 (Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0) Exam

Placement tests, such as the TSIA2 Exam, help ensure that students enroll in the courses that best match their academic skills. All students, unless considered TSIA2 Exempt, must take the TSIA2 Exam prior to enrolling.

High School Equivalency: HiSET®and GED®

The GED®and HiSET®(the High School Equivalency Test) exams are high school equivalency exams that will help you take the next step toward a college degree or a rewarding career.

ACT®

The ACT®is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in english, mathematics, reading, science and writing.

HESI: Nursing Entrance Exam

HESI (Health Education Systems Incorporated) exam assesses applicant academic readiness for nursing education programs.

CLEP®

CLEP®(the College-Level Examination Program®) offers exams that cover intro-level college course material. CLEP was created to help individuals with prior knowledge in a college course subject earn their degree efficiently and inexpensively. With a passing score on one CLEP exam, you could earn three or more college credits.
