When you decide on a transfer university, visit their catalog to ensure transfer requirements are met.

While an Associate of Science degree at Brazosport College requires 60 credit hours, the following pathway includes 62 credit hours, applicable to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
It ishighly recommendedthat if a student hasn’t yet decided on a transfer university, they shouldcomplete the entire general education coreat Brazosport College prior to transfer. If a student completes theGeneral Education Coreat Brazosport College, Texas law guarantees the entire 42 credit hour block transfers to any public institution in Texas and substitutes for the university’s core. If a student transfers prior to completing the core, they are subject to the core rules and course requirements of the receiving institution. Both the Associate and Bachelor degrees require completion of the 42 credit hour General Education Core Curriculum.

Foundations

Foundations courses provide the footing for the remainder of the Associates Degree and beyond. They provide the knowledge and skills upon which other courses will build. Whether attending full or part time, plan to complete most if not all of Foundations prior to taking courses under Knowledge Building or Preparing for Completion.

Before beginning the third set of courses in this pathway, complete the Application for Graduation at the Admission’s Office.
