Music Transfer Plan: University of Texas San Antonio

The pathway below is designed to facilitate transfer to the University of Texas San Antonio for students planning to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Music.
- Students planning to major in music should consult with the music faculty at Brazosport College before enrolling in the first semester.
- Work with your ACE it coach or a counselor/advisor early in your pathway to customize this plan.
- Consult a transfer advisor at UTSA
- Visit theUTSA Catalogto ensure transfer requirements are met.

- An Associate of Arts degree at Brazosport College requires 60 credit hours, the following pathway includes 60 credit hours, applicable to the Bachelor’s degree in Music at UT San Antonio.
- Music courses should be taken in the order listed and students should begin taking these courses in their first semester of study. Students should work closely with Music faculty in formulating their educational plan.

Foundations
Foundations courses provide the footing for the remainder of the Associates Degree and beyond. They provide the knowledge and skills upon which other courses will build. Whether attending full or part time, plan to complete most if not all of Foundations prior to taking courses under Knowledge Building or Preparing for Completion. Students planning to major in music should enroll in MUSI 1311 and MUSI 1116 in their first fall semester of study.
Knowledge Building
知识扩展foundationa建筑课程l learning and develop skills at a deeper level. It is recommended that students complete these courses prior to moving forward to Preparing for Completion.
Preparing For Completion
These courses provide capstone knowledge and skills, which prepares students for their next steps. Before beginning the third set of courses in this pathway, complete theApplication for Graduation at the Admission’s Office. You should also meet with your coach/advisor to begin preparing applications for transfer.
