Basic preparation for a new peace officer. Covers field note taking, report writing, “use of force” law and concepts, problem solving, multiculturalism, professional policing approaches, patrol procedures, victims of crime, family violence, MHMR, crowd management, HAZMAT, and criminal investigation. Should be taken in conjunction with Basic Peace Officer I, III, IV, and V to satisfy the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCLEOSE) approved Basic Peace Officer Training Academy.Credit Hours:5 (3 lecture, 7 lab)
